Miller, NU women tie for second; men also second
Nebraska’s first appearance in the Big Ten outdoor track and field championships ended Sunday with a pair of near-misses. Both the Husker men and women entered the final event at the University of Wisconsin’s McClimon Complex with a chance to win the team titles, but fell short in the 1,600-meter relays.

Decathlon record is NU highlight
A record-setting win in the men's decathlon helped make up for some disappointing preliminary round performances Saturday during the second day for the Nebraska track and field teams at the Big Ten Conference championships. Junior Bjorn Barrefors of Stockholm, Sweden, broke Nebraska's 20-year-old record in the decathlon by finishing with 7,897 points, a Big Ten championship record.

Longhorns end Huskers' season
Top-seeded Texas edged No. 2 seed Nebraska 4-2 Saturday to eliminate the Huskers in the second round of the women’s NCAA tennis tournament. Stefanie Weinstein got two wins for NU (24-5), including a 6-2, 6-3 victory in No. 4 singles. She also teamed with Madeleine Geibert to win No. 1 doubles, giving the pair 25 wins this season, third all time at NU. Weinstein’s 28 doubles wins are tied for the most in school history.

Huskers finish third in Big Ten
The Nebraska softball team earned a third-place finish in the Big Ten with a 4-1 victory over Wisconsin on Saturday. Nebraska, which drew the third-largest crowd in school history, also set an unofficial record for the world's largest softball tailgate before the game, drawing 1,752 fans.

Sheils finishes NU career with 86
The collegiate career of Nebraska's Madeleine Sheils came to an end Saturday at the NCAA women Central Regional with her final round 86. She finished the tournament with a 22-over 238. It was her most strokes in a three-round tournament this season and her highest scoring round of the year.

Nebraska got one win Friday, but the Huskers also saw the country’s longest home winning streak come to an end.

Doubles wins spark NU women
Nebraska swept North Texas 4-0 in the first round of the NCAA women’s tennis tournament Friday for the second first-round victory in program history.

With two events scored on the women’s side and three events scored on the men’s side, the Nebraska women are second with 13 points while the men sit in 10th place with 2.50 points Friday, the opening day of the three-day Big Ten outdoor championships.
